No, it's not the capital

Zürich

My time passing through Zürich was a brief and beautiful escapade of chocolate, jet lag, allergies, and.. a boat ride. Surveyed as worldwide as "the happiest place on earth", Zürich has a peculiar feeling of balancing the bountiful natural landscapes surrounding it and the hustle & bustle of dense city life without either really encroaching on the other. While in town, you'll find the Lindt House of Chocolate where you can indulge in a diabetic massacre of your own health and stand out as a true American abroad, the worlds largest EDM street fest known as "Street Parade" that looks as if someone dropped Bonnaroo in the middle of a European intersection, and Europe's largest church clock face.. see it's like Big Ben but for Jesus.

The Holy Chocolate Fountain

Eternal Life? Quite the Opposite

Can you dip your chosen grail into the steamy flowing vat of milk chocolate towering above? No. a plexiglass cover at the base ensures we all don't channel our inner Augustus Gloop. That being said the radiating aroma is incredible

The Gold Standard

Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich (VBZ)

If Germany's public transit system is an E-Class (slow clap), then Zürich's "Verkehrsbetriebe" or 'VBZ', is a Rolls Royce that's owned by the city itself. Cleanliness, Reliability, and Expediency are the hallmarks of how it makes the city so navigable

The Franco-Germanic Hybrid

Polite But Reserved

The Swiss are a remarkably accomplished lot who have embraced a new tier on emphasis of privacy. They enjoy being left alone, partaking in French and German cultural traditions but, never teetering towards being overtly one or the other
